Inauguration of Luxembourg’s First Agri-PV Plant

“Producing green electricity in harmony with agriculture and the environment” – under this guiding principle, Luxembourg’s first Agri-PV plant has been inaugurated.

Following the award of the contract in October 2023, our first Agri-PV plant has now been realized in the municipality of Kehlen. Between the Quatre-Vents roundabout and the village of Keispelt, photovoltaic modules with a total capacity of 2,000 kWp have been installed on 4.5 hectares of land. In the future, they will generate electricity for approximately 600 households annually. Additionally, as before the installation, the farmer will continue using the meadow for green fodder production. The technical, agricultural, and ecological aspects of the plant are harmonized.

The official inauguration took place on-site at the Agri-PV facility. It was a remarkable event featuring inspiring speeches from Minister Martine Hansen (Agriculture), Minister Lex Delles (Economy), Minister Serge Wilmes (Environment), and the Mayor of Kehlen, Félix Eischen.

The key message: Agri-PV in Luxembourg has a future and will continue to receive support! We share the vision of Agri-PV with all speakers – placing agriculture at the center while creating synergies.

We look forward to future projects!
