{"id":1878,"date":"2025-05-27T09:39:06","date_gmt":"2025-05-27T08:39:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gpss.lu\/?p=1878"},"modified":"2025-07-31T09:42:22","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T08:42:22","slug":"hydrogen-project-echo-wave-receives-national-funding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gpss.lu\/en\/hydrogen-project-echo-wave-receives-national-funding\/","title":{"rendered":"Hydrogen Project ECHO-WAVE Receives National Funding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"144\" data-end=\"340\">The Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy (MECO) has announced that the ECHO-WAVE project is one of the two winners of the national pilot call for renewable hydrogen production in Luxembourg.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"342\" data-end=\"764\">This marks a significant milestone for GPSS on the path toward establishing the country\u2019s first hydrogen production facility. After more than three years of work \u2013 including the selection of a suitable site and the completion of a detailed feasibility study \u2013 ECHO-WAVE succeeded in meeting all the requirements of this year\u2019s call. This included, in particular, demonstrating the innovative nature of the project.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"766\" data-end=\"1088\">The hydrogen will be produced via electrolysis powered by directly connected renewable energy sources, specifically wind energy and agri-PV. With a rated electrolyzer capacity of 2.5 MW, the setup significantly reduces the load on the public electricity grid and ensures the production of truly green hydrogen.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1392\">Thanks to national support, the project will receive financial assistance over a period of 10 years.
